Research Interests
My research interest is focused around smart tools (mainly using Artificial Intelligence techniques) to assist the creation of complex 3D contents.
I am currently working on automated and assistive camera control techniques for interactive environments.
More precisely:
- real-time visibility computation for multiple targets in dynamic environments
- real-time path planning for camera control
- formalisation of cinematographic conventions (encoding characteristic viewpoints, continuity in edits, composition)
- languages for cinematographic specifications
- interactive tools for cinematographic content creation
- tracked virtual cameras
I am also working on constraint-based generation of sustainable virtual cities using table-touch surfaces.
More precisely:
- modeling of urban rules and conventions in the CSP framework (using CHOCO solver)
- solving techniques for urban planning
- user interaction in the solving process
